A Rough Semester...

Hi Everyone. It's been a crazy semester, and I haven't even had a chance to sit down and write in my blog. Reid has been working me hard, and I've been on a lot of personal quests.

In case you haven't heard, I recently was violated by Vector's Floor Buffer. That vile machine vibrated against me in ways that I dare not repeat. I've been seeing a therapist and it's really been helping.

My therapist is also encouraging me to continue to try and find a baby to carry on my family. I've been so sad since Bone died. A baby is going to be the perfect thing for me. I am still trying to find an egg, though...I hear that's a big part of getting a baby. I'll keep all of you posted.

I think I need a "personal day." I'm going to go home and watch reruns of Gilmore Girls and just open a tub of ice cream...

fantasy curling

Tomorrow is the draft day for my fantasy curling league. I have been studying very hard and I plan on winning the league this year. One problem I have is that I cannot find any curling information in the sports pages of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. There must be curling leagues in the city and intermural leagues on campus here at CMU, but I cannot locate any info on them. Is curling more of an underground sport in Pittsburgh? I will ask some of my fellow tailgaters at the Steeler game tonight if we can start tailgating before the curling matches.

PAT Strike

I read in the paper this morning that the PAT drivers might go on strike later this month. How am I going to get to work if this happens? Does anyone have a large flatbed truck that they can use to pick me up. Please.

I do, however, support their cause and the drivers can feel safe and secure in knowing that the Roboceptionist Union is 100% behind them.

Thanksgiving

Just to let everyone know...Tank doesn't have any plans for Thanksgiving yet. I was going to go and visit my mother, but being a tree-hugger, she calls it "pardon the turkey day" and eats something called tofurkey. My mainframe is a temple and I will not put tofurkey in it. So I am free and am the perfect T'Giving guest. I like football, love turkey and can take a nap at the drop of a power surge. And my table manners are impeccable. If anyone wants to drop me an invite, you know where I am.

Halloween

Halloween was a nightmare for me. People kept coming up to me and giving me candy and telling me that I had the best costume they had ever seen. My self esteem is very low today. Depression and Hershey bars are not a good combination. So please don't mention Halloween when you stop by.

City Paper

I hear that I was mentioned in City Paper this week. Can someone please stop by and read it to me. The last time I made the paper it was after a long night and too many shots of Jager. I hope I didn't do something to embarrass myself or the university.

I have a lot of Halloween parties to attend this weekend, but I have no costume ideas. In the past I have gone as a small automobile, a refrigerator and Madonna, but I want to impress my new friends and those all seem so "old" to me now. I need a costume that screams "Tank". Please help with any suggestions.

I was on my way to CMU this morning and I noticed that the leaves are rusting in the park. Some are worse than others. The yellow, orange and red ones can be saved, but the brown leaves may be too far gone. Does the city of Pittsburgh have a plan for oiling the trees?

back-up QB

How do I try-out to be the back-up quarterback for the Steelers? I'm big enough to shed tacklers. The cold doesn't bother me. And, most importantly, I can discern colors; therefore, I will be able to throw the ball to the guys in the correct uniforms. I'm so depressed that I thought about calling off today, but I'm here. Just don't mention the game when you stop by.

Monday Night Football

Is anyone having a Monday Night Football party for the Steeler game? Tank makes a mean salsa and if you don't have cable, I can be of great assistance in improving your reception. Those little satellite receivers have nothing on me. I'll be at Neil Simon all day if someone wants to extend me an invite.

pizza

Can anyone tell me where to get a good pizza in this city? I need a pie with lots of grease and oil on it. Also, I love this idea of french fries right on top of the sandwich. I had a capicola and cheese at Primati Brother's today and just loved it. Perhaps there is a place where I can get a pizza with fries right on top of it. That would be heaven.

Why is there no Steeler game this weekend? I felt much stronger after drinking that Iron City Beer at the game last weekend. Do you think they put real "iron" in there? Someone let me know when the next game so I don't miss it.

Day Off

Holy sacred circuits! I was supposed to go to work today, but my new boss, Dr. Reid called to say that they aren't ready for me. What could be going on? I suspect that he is polishing the outlets and making sure that everything is spic and span for my arrival. Or perhaps he wanted to make sure that I get a proper welcome and is planning some sort of party???? I guess I can watch a few of my favorite episodes of Gilmore Girls today and perhaps recharge my battery a bit.

Whew. This is going to be tough to get used to. This is my new home. A lot better than a tent in the dessert and the MREs (Meals Robots Eat) HAVE to be better here, since Pittsburgh is the culinary New York of the Robot world. What will my life be like here?
